« on: 30 April 2009, 20:15:58 »

:-? Anybody fitted these to a facelift 2.2 Omega?, I have a set in the post to me as I type & haven't a Bl**dy clue where to start! As this is my first Omega & an instant love affair, I didn't realise what a big beast she would turn out to be, especially from behind!!!! :D Any help would be greatly appreciated! Regards, Phil.

Have fitted them to mine, bumper will have to come off to remove and adapt the foam cushioning which sits behind it :y

I fitted a set to our facelift estate, it was fairly straight forward really the drill bit needed was in the kit and it came with easy enough to follow instructions.
Find the centre line of the bumper and if I remember rightly mearsure 20cm each side for the first 2 holes and then 40cm past each of them for the outer 2 I measured them 50mm up from the line in the bumper, I will put up a pic tommorrow for you.
The wiring is a doddle as it all just plugs into to the unit after taking a live from your nearest side reverse light.
Hope this helps.

My inboard sensors are about 32 cm from the centre of the bumper ,I have a fixed tow bar and they don't detect that sticking out ,outboard about 64cm.I did check by placing an obstruction where the bar would be before using a fixed bar.they will take car to within 14cm of obstruction .Sh** forgot tow bar again

:-/ Thanks everyone! but just to show how really stupid I am, can you tell me what colour wires I need to connect into? I can find my way around a domestic 3 pin plug at home but car wiring is another kettle of fish! :y Regards, Phil.
