General Car Chat / Re: Auto Insignia - any good?
« on: 21 August 2017, 22:58:39 »
I have a 60 plate insignia elite estate or tourer call them what you will. Im happy with it except the comfort of the seats in a long journey. It is very plasticy inside and does tend to creak when going round corners sharpish. The afl headlights are a nice feature on them. Any more info just ask I'll try and help

Was in the Leicester square monday and in the mcdonalds some guy came up to me and showed me a sign stating he had no money or hadn't eaten in days so I offered him a portion of fries and he shaked his head and rubbed his fingers as if to say no i want money. Told him to jog on!!!

Went to the Lego Storebut tbh didn't think much of it apart from over priced

Prices in the Lego store are the same as you pay in any other store, the Lego company control all prices world wide, stores can mark products down and do special offers with Lego permission, always look on line for sets you want there are deals.

While in Leicester Square did you see the guy who gets all the Mcdee cups out the bin for the stickers to get free coffee, and also picks up burger king cups to get the free refills. ..
Shows how out of touch i am with prices lol

No didn't see him but sounds like a good idea though

A few years back my brother in law brought an immaculate sierra for £100 and promptly stripped it for banger racing. He is gutted now when i show him what even a badic one goes for >:(

Does he have a white CC? Gave nod to chap near Twickenham M3 who had a lovely R Line spec one, it had the later LED front headlights which I like.

Do CC owners nod to each other then?  ???

Is this a glimpse into a secret world that Tunnie is now part of?  :-\  ;D

Don't see many on the road, he looked on first. Was while side by side in traffic.
Don't see many for sale either when i was looking for one

I go M3/M25 every day, there are little tricks like always leave and re-join straight away. This can save some time on M25  :y

Yes I did not like Insignia seats, I tried quite a few spec types, found them all rock hard and not very supportive.  :(

How does that work? is that like jumping the queue on the motorway ? Bit like the blighters that zoom up the outside of a queue at a roundabout going straight on , then round the roundabout and rejoin 50 places up.

Eg on M25, Jc14 is for Heathrow T5. Often bulk of M25 is backed up heading to M4, take the Jc14 slip which is a long filter off. Head up to the round-about, then head straight down again re-joining the M25. Re-joining it's a long slip as well and you can skip a load of traffic. Sometimes it fails due to traffic flowing again and you hit lights on round-about, but you win more times than you loose. Do this for multiple junctions and it's a winner  :y
Never thought of it like that. Great advice.

Ever thought of becoming transport minister?? ;D

In my insignia. God i miss the comfort of the seats of my omega as it felt quite hard but on the plus side the fuel economy was only something i could ever dream of in the omega. 50mpg 700 odd miles round trip and I don't envy you guys one bit who use the m4/m25 everyday it was an absolute joke.

Did you go via John O, groats ?  :D
Haha felt like it lol

Drove from here in plymouth to harwich to see my dad then to north london where i was staying then on way home round to lakeside and bluewater shopping centres then home!!!!
