I get about 21-22 round town, short journeys do kill v6's. Long runs on a light throttle can get about 35 on my 3.0 estate if no stop starts.

Intend to replace oil, oil filter, fuel filter and spark plugs over next week or so, fingers crossed will get slightly better mpg.
Have noticed since it has got colder that economy has dropped, was getting 24-26 over the summer months. Also noticing in the cold that the fuel cut off isn't working as readily when decelerating. Hoping it is a service item desparately in need of change.

I reckon my MPG is increased on my V6 since it's got colder. The cold air helps it run more efficnently. I definately get more power in the cold.. I usually get 80mph flat out up a steep hill near me - It creeps up to 90 when it's very cold.

Bloody steep!! My old 1.1 fiesta would only just make it in 3rd....

It's 2 lanes going up, and wide, so it's a lovely place to open up the V6.

Interestingly, on the subject of MPG, I did a recent calculation. Driving very carefully, on A roads, I got 22mpg averge - about 113 miles to £20 of petrol.

Anyone confirm if they get the same out of a 2.5?

That seems on the low side. I usually get 26+

Which steep hill?

If Cleeve did 110 on a bike, but chickened out when the rear wheel slipped
