omega 2.0 16v 1998 s

i have the above mentioned vehical and its just developed a strange problem, it will run normally for about 7 mins then all engine stopes and you get a flashing enginmanegment light for 3 0r 4 mins then you can start driving again for a further 7 mins then the same thing happens again ? any ideas
