My lenses are slightly rough on the outside looks like a deposit of some kind any ideas on removal without damage to the lenses which I believe are plastic.

I believe there's a guide in the maintenance section to clean the headlights.

This website that was posted up by another member suggests tooth paste. I know tooth paste works on glass so it should work well on plastic.

;) There is a guide of How To but personally I use a tin of the old BRASSO and a piece of cardboard with it poured on. Loads of elbow grease, a final clean with soapy warm water followed by a polish with a clean cloth and they come up like new.
Go for it.........otherwise dig into your pockets deep..... :y

T-Cut works for me with plenty of elbow grease. :)
