Odd radio thing
« on: 28 March 2009, 09:37:22 »

Not exactly a huge issue, just a bit odd. I have a '99 Elite with a CCRT700 fitted. This I believe has been decoded so I don't have to worry about disconnecting the battery  :-/ I've only had the car a week so I don't know much about that.

Anyway when I start the car the Radio just starts up on "MEM" and cycling through frequencies... never finds anything. It still holds the station presets so all I have to do is press "TUNER" a couple of times and i'm back to where I switched it off. Turn the car off again and restart again and it just forgets where it was and goes through the saga again.

Faulty ?? a result of someone else decoding it (why was that done ???) ?? or am i just being a bit dumb and missing something  :-[

Its not uncommon for the tuner when first powered up, to search for nearby radio stations and load everything into memory - makes the tuner operation a little slicker.

However, if it does this all the time, its a sign the memory on the radio is on its way out - no spares left to fix that either!

I have a ccrt700 that does exactly the same thing. MDTM and I were going to play with this a little further, but neither of us have the time :(
