Anyone know about Cleartone radios?

Evening all!

As my Silly Boy Project of a restored police car is coming together - I've got myself a Cleartone CM9000 radio to put in. (Same as in Josh's, fact fans).

I should say at this point that noone really knows what it had in service so I'm using a bit of artistic licence and fitting things that are age-appropriate. And when the rivet counters complain there's plenty of space to lock them in the boot.

Anyway. I don't know much (anything) about electronics. It is a full setup with head unit, and the control box.

Is there a way to connect it so it controls a regular (hidden) head unit and/or phone kit? I would like it if I pressed a button on the Cleartone and it made the hidden one perform an action ie USB/ phone/ volume and play through the speakers and whatnot.

It's all voodoo to me...

Doctor Gollum:
I initially went with a Sony Xav w1 :-\

Vaguely resembles the slide out screen, but allows for audio/dvd/cd changer input.

Ultimately it ended up with the correct video system and cleartone... Video worked, radio did not.

GastronomicKleptomaniac:
Now I have been told that it never had a camera or screen, which delights me because it's less clutter and more space for bullhorn buttons and the like. I like your thinking, theres a few cheapy Android units that would have done the job but I would rather not have one sticking out  :D

Doctor Gollum:
I think I still have the Sony unit, but currently away. Will rustle up a pic or two when I get a chance  ;)

No drama! The car is still a few hours from Gastro Towers so I have plenty of time to plan.
