Omega General Help / How to know if Omega B/Mini FL or FL
« on: 19 February 2013, 11:02:10 »
As subject, how do you decide exactly if your mig is B/Mini FL or FL?
Mine I think is FL as it's a year 2000 V6 auto est and has newer shape body BUT as I am looking into new front wheelbearing the suppliers quote for Omega B which seems to cover upto 1999 ???

Omega General Help / F/N/S Wheelbearing
« on: 18 February 2013, 19:24:01 »
Hi fellow OOFrs,
My year 2000 facelifted V6 auto est is making a very loud wine/rumble from the N/s front which starts at around 30mph upwards.
When driving, if you reduce the pressure on that side by turning left the sound decreases noticably. I think it is a worn bearing.
I have looked at the maintenance guides and taken advice, they would suggest changing the hub/bearing as one.
Does anyone know the best/cheapest method to buy the hub+bearing?
Ebay is mentioned and a link was provided, but using the link to a VH parts supplier but I became unsure when asked was my model an Omega B?
If anyone knows the above with a number to phone or link to the exact part that would be great.
Many thanks
Mike

Hi all,
I thought it would be a good idea to copy some of my music from my computer onto cd then play them through the car cd player.
Well most of the tracks wont play, some skip and some discs are not even recognised by the player. Is there something I am doing wrong.
Regular bought cd's play fine music and books.
Any ideas?
Mike
I have a 4 cd cartridge changer on a Phillips 2006 unit in a x reg 2.5 elite.

thanks for your input, did you wire in the satnav and phone or did you put in an aftermarket 12v socket?

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Sat Nav power supply
« on: 15 April 2008, 17:24:04 »
I have bought a tomtom sat nav and want to know if there is a fuse or point designed for supplying the power.
I am thinking a double cigarette lighter point tucked up under the dash, I do not want a satnav holder on display and it will be used in 2 cars so using the supplied 12v power cord would seem to make sense.
The second 12v socket could be used to power my phone.
also see seperate post re mobile phone bluetooth connection.
thanks guys

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / key remote control
« on: 15 February 2008, 16:00:39 »
just bought my 2.5 facelifted.elite, It came with 2 keys both with button push Remote Conrols.
On 1 The key works really well, as notd the little red led light flashes, On the other hand, the other key does not flash as there is no red led.
I was told the previous owner had fitted a new batt on the second key, but it does not work.
I know there may be an issue re coding the remote, I have my keycodes, my question is : does/did Vauxhall sell remote keys without the small led red lights, or have I been ripped off.

So the percieved wisdom, it seems is to get the standard roof mounted aerial checked to make sure connections are good and amplifier is working then be satisfied with the result  OR is there a better aerial option as personally I do not want to go down the route of changing the whole dash radio/cd/tape setup as yet.
Many thanks to all who have replied

I think the radio reception is poor, not bad, just poor.
If I ask rad to search for stations it does not find them itself, you have to manually serch, is that normal?
I love to listen to Radio 5 during the day but weak signal with too much interferance.
My previous elite, a pre facelit wa the same, is this the norm or is there a fix I can get done please.
many thanks
