CCR600 in "Safe" mode
« on: 03 February 2008, 14:57:29 »

Afternoon gents,

Ive got a CCR600 in the mega but it shows "Safe" on the display, I was under the impression that it means it's goosed and some one has got the code wrong 10 times...

I have the code it and the CD changer, is it worth doing any thing with it or should I ditch it for some thing newer ?

Check you are turning on the ignition first -

Code Entry as Follows:
Turn Off Stereo
Switch On Ignition (No Need To Start Engine)
Press & Hold Preset " AS " and
Switch Radio On - Display Shows
" SAFE " And Then Shows " 10 - - - - "
Press preset " 1 " repeatedly for 1st Digit
Press preset " 2 " repeatedly for 2nd Digit
Press preset " 3 " repeatedly for 3rd Digit
Press preset " 4 " repeatedly for 4th Digit
If the correct code number is now shown
Press & Hold Preset " AS " Until the Unit Beeps

If codelocked - leave powered for two hours and try again, and if you need it resetting and decoding, then send it to me via this link

The AS has to be held down whilst the power is switched on, then for about 3s after

May well send it over,  just toying with moving the DVD player from the mondeo, just its silver (matchs the ford dash) so it might look a tad gash,

Any one had the plesure of fitting screens to the head rests in a mega ? much room to work in them?
