Text to Speech
« on: 02 October 2015, 17:32:32 »

I know this is possible on Win7, but is it possible to convert same speech to an audio file to burn on a CD?

Not to sure what you are asking, you want an audio recording made on a Windows machine burnt to CD?

Where will this CD be read? In a computer or car? As that determines what format it needs to be.  :y

Just ring them up, Chris.....it'll be quicker and less technical.

Or send a Text, to their landline, then the BT Computer converts it to speech, and swearing is allowed....   ;D......., apparently.  ::)

I have a pages and pages of text, family history, that I would like to convert to an audio file from the text. I do not want to have to read it myself. It would be playable in a car or on a home CD player if possible. :y

A few options...

Free Option...

http://www.fromtexttospeech.com

I just tried this with a "hello world" test, set it to British English, I found the audio very good.

Some that costs a bit...

http://www.naturalreaders.com/index.html $69  :(

For playing in a car or at standard home CD player, they must be in "wav" format, most burning software would just describe this as "audio cd"
