For Sale: 2002 2.2 Omega CD auto with LPG - Silver
« on: 01 November 2012, 12:25:32 »

Hi all.

With the replacement Vectra being used for Cornwall and back a few times a month the Omega has been left on the drive untouched for 3 months and it really is time for her to go. Had her advertised elsewhere and only had timewasters so thought it was about time to ask you guys. Even if she's only bought to break (which I'd rather didn't happen but alas she is worth more in bits) I just want her to go to a good home.

Current specifications are:

Engine, suspension and brakes

Mileage currently approx 165,000. Do not let this put you off. This car had never wanted for anything.
2.2 Petrol with a remap and Prins VSi LPG system. (http://www.prinsautogas.com/en/products/vsi_system/vsi_system.html)
K&N panel air filter.
Ported and polished inlet.
Ported and polished throttle body.
New Vauxhall exhaust manifold and gasket.
Custom exhaust built by Cybox Exhausts from the cat back. 2 centre boxes to twin outlets.
New exhaust flexi pipe.
Oil catch tank.
Oil changed between every 5-6000 miles with fully synthetic oil and OEM filters.
New OEM rocker cover gasket.
New OEM cam position sensor.
Head overhauled in the last couple of years.
Head skimmed and gasket replaced late last year.
New HBV valve fitted.
Recently had a coolant flush and change.
New battery last year.
Drilled discs with standard pads all round. Really will haul it to a stop.
New steering idler.
Standard rear springs with Koni Sport adjustable shock absorbers.
Koni Sport front shock absorbers (NOT FITTED - currently on standard shocks). Koni's were removed because I didn't like the way they made the car feel after a while. Others may like them. They don't have any faults or anything. They will be included.
30mm Weitec lowering springs on the front. Gives the car quite a pointy look.

Edited to add:

The engine does use some oil from time to time. It'll be fine for a few hundred miles then it'll use some. Other times it might not use any for ages. It does not visibly smoke.
Valve stem seals replaced last year.

Body

Debadged grill.
Headlights have been split and painted black inside.
MV6 front bumper with the bottom section under the numberplate (numberplates were replaced for the last MOT) coloured black. Could do with a respray but it's not too bad and never bothered me. And I took this thing to shows!
MV6 tyres in gun metal grey. (could do with a refurb after having tyres fitted)
Brand new tyres all round - 235/45/17 Cooper Zeon CS6 on the front and 245/45/17 Cooper Zeon 2XS on the back. Fronts have covered about 1000 miles and the rear have done about 500.
Door pillar trims and mirror bases wrapped in carbon fibre film.
Pin stripe running around the bonnet and down the length of the car. This is only tape and can easily be removed.
Prodrive rear boot spoiler.
Rear parking sensors.
Headlight washers.
New windscreen fitted by Auto Windscreens.
Small bits of rust on the rear arches. Only just starting to creep round the edges really so a rub down and spray should sort that.
Small dent in the bottom of the drivers side wing where some tit let a trolley roll into it outside B&Q.
Small dent on the bottom of the passenger side rear doors. Slipped off the jack whilst the previous owner was winding the jack up at the side of the M56.

Interior

Cream leather has been fitted. The car used to be black on black inside. The black carpets, dash etc have stayed but the cream seats have been fitted. Quite like the colour contrast.
Sony XAV 622 double DIN headunit fitted when the CCR2006 packed up. Standard speakers.
Previous owner fitted a wood effect dash kit and wrapped certain parts of the interior in carbon fibre. Again if you don't like it, it'll peel off but I did so it stayed!
Rear window blind retro-fitted.
Auto dimming mirror.
Slight tear in the leather - corner of the rear arm rest around the cup holder.

Edited to add:

The airbag light is currently on. I've had it plugged into a diagnostic machine and it's showing high resistance on the drivers airbag squib. A brand new one is about £60 from Vauxhall.

Absolutely loads of history for it. Every owner has looked after it and the guy that owned it before me is a very good friend. I've organised all of the paperwork into date order in a binder which is a couple of inches thick! I think nearly every receipt the car has ever had is in there. The service book is nearly full too and is very detailed on what the car has received over the last few years. The previous owner like me loved this car, it was his baby so everything has been recorded. As said before, don't let the mileage put you off. It's been so well looked after and drives great. Gearbox changes nice and smooth every time. Knock her into sport mode and hit the kickdown and she's off like a rocket.

I'll give her a wash and get some pictures up later on. As I said she's worth way more in bits than a whole car but living in Cornwall and the car being 350 odd miles away I can't leave it outside my mums house as it's broken up. It'll break my heart to do it too.

Looking for £1100 for her. And with that you'll get a near full tank of LPG and 20 quids worth of petrol!

I'll get some more when I've had chance to give it a wash later on. Just waiting on one of the mods to add in some bits I forgot to put in. These are from when it was last in St Asaph Car Show.

Far left one in the following picture.
