You'd forever be fielding questions about whether it was a "real" Cobra as it is I believe the most copied car in the world.

Nah, it’s the big 7litre or nothing, got to have a bit of grunt with those looks. A supercharger on top would be a nice small mod too 8)

A well built modern small-block Ford would be a far better bet than one of the FE boat anchors.

You think you need more than 750hp in a Cobra? :o  That's about the limit where the turbo starts to become necessary

Ha Ha, oh yes, AWD and front and rear LSD, but can still light the four wheels up, I know the LS1 is GM, and as said I would rather that than a Ford motor, BTW when looking for more power they Prefer to go supercharged With these.

Oh.

Is that really true when a pair of small(ish) turbos makes can make 1000hp on a stock, small capacity LS bottom end? The big advantage a supercharger has is that it doesn't take up any extra space compared to a tall inlet manifold.

Not that I'd ever build a big power motor because I don't enjoy driving them.

So since his death, it's been restored 3 times?? Painted, and over done.. When he owned it would never have been that shiny and clean.  But that's provance for you.
Having seen unrestored Shelby's.  They weren't put together with care,  just get em built and get em out

No different to any of the other expensive, shiny toys. Racing cars are disposable, and the fancy stuff were fashion items.

When we lived in Croydon which was over 30 years ago one of my neighbours had a garage business which included a bodyshop as well, one weekend he brought home an AC Cobra that was having some work done on it, I remember him starting it up & revving the engine the whole body moved from side to side with the power & it sounded awesome had a really good registration plate as well COB1.

Now that registration is familiar, Might be who owns it, or the car.

Blue 7L Cobra, untaxed since 1995.first registration 1994, year of manufacturer 1968.
