Spent another small fortune .. :(

Been having a few problems with "steaming up" - done all the usual checks and discovered that the air con compressor only seemed to work intermittently - mostly only when first switched on. Took it to my local place who said it was very low on gas as it was only recharged 10 months ago. They emptied it and did a nitrogen pressure test .. result ... condenser leaking :(

Condenser replaced - total £453 inc labour/vat etc etc

Got home postie had been .. tax due .... £260

add that to last months 4 x tyres .....  :(

The joys of motoring :(

So I went for a play on some country lanes I know.... and reminded myself just why I just love this car ......   :)  :)  :)

 :o :o :o :( :( :( At least its all sorted now  :-X :y

TBE aligned by WIM. Rear toe was a mile out. Front camber back to standard WIM settings, from "fast road settings", which I think was too aggressive.

Silver Bullet's wheels all rebalanced.

New CDL motor popped in TBE, old one stripped for refurb.

Reason my tech2 lptop was being a pain discovered...

*sigh*

I'm no expert, but I think that bit is meant to still be connected ;)

Time to try out drag soldering? Or, wait, don't you know someone handy with a soldering iron? ;D

I was going to attack it with a normal iron, but it looks a shade small for me - my bit bridges 3 pins ;D

That and the fact, under a magnifying glass, Dell's attempt shows it to be lead free thats dry as an alcohol free pub, I've left it as a task for a mate with the right equipment.

Really need to look into the grumpy idle (although I suspect it's related to the dodgy stat ::)), cam covers and suspension all around ::)

Oh... And I really must do an oil and filter change, it's definitely overdue :-X :-[

To be fair, I shouldn't really be doing anything on cars ::) Although I am enjoying a period of (relative) comfort :y

Might have to take you up on that but, tbh, I just need to pull my finger out and do it... Of all the things that need doing it's one of the few I'm actually capable of doing myself!
