Talking of V8's here's a Ford Capri 3.5 V8!  :)

‘It’s a real one off’.  Thank goodness for that, for a minute there I thought there may be more of them about.  ;D

Some "custom" car enthusiasts just didn't know when to stop in the seventies 😂

Blimey, they fitted the only engine which had the potential to be no better than the original, a rover V8 3.5 on SUs.  ;D ;D ;D

Worse than a Rover? How about a Stag V8?

We used Rovers because they were abundant, cheap and made more power out of the box than most alternatives(Essex/Cologne, Triumph six, BMC six, Ford's I6 etc). That was usually enough to outweigh the very real issues of huge size, lack of long term durability and gearbox choice. The biggest reason for their falling out of use was the availability of four cylinder engines that made a genuine 150hp from the factory. Engines like the 2.0l XE

I understand that the Buick V8 was discarded by the yanks until somebody from Rover thought it may serve a purpose. ::) ::)

Is that £4000 what they pay you to take it away?
