They looked shit when they were new, not sure why anyone would buy one fifty years later unless for some extreme sentimental reason.

Yes you're probably right, or it might have been a Land Crab.  A big scruffy old BL anyway.  :)

Landcrab,maxi and  Austin 3lt all shared doors,they all rusted the same too  >:D

I had one for a while 20 years ago. Bought it from my MIL for £75 with 67000 miles on the clock.
Spent £300 tidying it up and sold it for £750. I was pretty chuffed at the time to have doubled my money.  ::)
Didnt get much pleasure from driving it tbh. FWD torque steer isnt my idea of fun.
Pretty little cars though.  :y
