Ok, about six or seven months ago I retired my S reg 2.5 CD. It failed its MOT quite badly so I went and bought a newer one. A couple of weeks later my daughters car got written off so being the ever faithfull dad I spent seven hundred pounds getting the Omega through the MOT and handed it over to her and her family. During that time the HBV started acting up so I told them to keep a good check on the water, but, since then the water pump has developed a severe leak, and now the old girl is parked up once again. The question is do I persevere with it or do I scrap it?
Mechanically it's superb with all the major Omega problems already sorted such as oil cooler and all new suspension, but cosmetically it's challenged, the usual rust around the arches and doors and bits of trim now peeling off. If I were to start spending money on it I would go the whole hog and give it a complete makeover with body kit ect, but the only thing putting me off is new arches, is it worth it? Sorry for waffling.

That is such a shame, especially now I'm so close to the big '50'. Somebody could have had a bargain basement S reg V6, especially with all the recent work done on it.. Never mind, off to the scrap yard.

Is there a reason why I can't post on the for sale section?

Cheers.

sounds absolutely ridiculous to me. I wonder how many people on here remember going to the shops for mum or dad when we were little kids to get the daily paper, and getting sweets with the change!

I don't get it,
one minute the oldies tell us 'those were the good ol' days', then in the same convo they tell us 'you youngsters have never had it so good'  ;D
