So, what would the difference be if the cruise control was updated?

just to emphasise - v6 owners should always have spare crank sensor in boot
I should know this really as i've spent the last 12 months whacking it on my old meega to get it started :-[

Plannig a road trip to portugal this year then on to spain [alicante] then back to blighty in the summer so will be thinking on the same lines as you. A crank sensor change will be done before i go and an oil and filter change plus a spare one to do while away,  Spare bulbs and an aux belt will be taken with me in case. :y
Cheers sir ffcgary1, if you don't mind me asking where abouts in alicante region, I'm going there also.

I plan to do about 3000+ miles in the space of 3 weeks so any advice welcolme. Also can anyone recommend a european breakdown cover.

Well that time has come, I've been a regular follower of this site for quite some time now, and now its time to come out... ;)
I'm on my third omega now since 1997, a 52 2.6 CDX and I still love them. My Other cars are a E30 BMW 325i convertible which is 19 years young now, and another Omega, a 2.5 98 CD which is SORNed at the moment. Anyhoo, the Omega gives me the sensible drive while the BM gives me the thrill ride that I need so often! Once I figure out how to post a pic I will share my pride and joy with all.
Helloooooooooooo everybody. :D

Ok I just need to confirm that they are the same and will PM you. Does it have the rubber boot for the other end? Cheers.

A-Ha! Where are you david?

Not that important that its a mini facelift, so long as its not a facelift. I think 2000 is facelift isn't it?
