Not sure if this is right place[if not could an admin move it please]I see that the VBOA show that used to be hosted at Billing has now moved to Market Harborough showground. This for me will cut approx.60miles off the round trip distance,so quite handy really.
-
Just proves how much GM care, the blue oval boys go to donnington, or Silverstone, GM based vehicle's get Market Harborough
field
sorry showground :P
-
Agreed. Vauxhall must be the most complacent manufacturer in history of Motoring. Things improved for a while in the late 70,s and the 80,s but they soon reverted to type.
-
The market harbough event is being financed by LMF
ABS club secterary had a site visit there on Sunday with vBOA and said its a nice site, totally flat. There will be portable shower blocks and , unfortunatly, turdis,s for toilets as its, as yet, an undeveloped show ground. Prices for day visit and camping will be exactly the same as last years billing. On site security to keep things in order. Autojumble will be completly away from camping and show fields
7,8,9 July. I will post up booking details later

Nice one , only 8 miles from me front door :) Not camping , will just be rooting around the Autojumble .
-
Ok, later than I thought I would get to do this, booking for this event is via LMF on 01858 433599 and the rates will be the same as at Billing last year, £17 a night camping, minimum two nights to be booked, £10 a day for day visitors PER CAR
Event address is
Market Harborough Show Ground
Gallow Field Road
Market Harborough
LE16 7QB
For tin tent owners, there is no hook ups on the show ground at all

Is there many going to this, from this site?
-
I'll be there :y
-
Was going to go but the Omega is still broken[surprise, surprise]I still might go as a "visitor"just depends on the weather and if I decide whether it's worth the 200 odd mile round trip.
-
I'm hoping to take the green barge, fingers crossed the alloys will be done in time and the turbo fitted
-
Hopefully going, will just be a day visit though. :y
-
Booked in for this show with the green landbarge :y
-
Will be going for certain.
-
Would be nice to get a line up of omega`s if anyone is up for it?
-
I am there in the autojumble, plying my wares ;D :o
Going up Friday morning

whats realy the best day for the autojumble? .when it used to be at billing some people said most of the good stuff had gone by sunday.so went next year on saturday and there were hardly any stall.told me best day was sunday ? ..?
-
Last year at Billing was a problem caused by new staff member of Billings. He found a bye law that stated any non trade persons could not sell on that land. Different this year....

. yes i heard that too. that probably wiped out most of the autojumble then ,with most remaining stalls full of tools and stuff you could buy anywhere. i assume market harborough doesnt have any such ridiculous rules.its great looking around the cars but the autojumble is the best bit
-
A nice selection as always of old and new over the weekend. I did spot 3 estates, two silver, a nice black one and a red ex police one and a silver saloon :y Alas very little in the way of parts I needed on the autojumble
-
Enjoyed the few hours we managed to stay there. Hopefully will stay over next time and get one of the cars on show
-
Considering I started this thread,I didn't go :D The Elite is still broken[it's only been like this about a year and a half ::)]and is busy in the lock up garage being totally ignored :-X.I just didn't fancy a 200ml round trip to go as a "visitor"and not part of the display.Hope it was a successful event though :y
-
would be nice to see a stand full of omega`s
-
There were quite a few Omegas in the ABS camp, and on a walkabout through the site there were many more scattered around :y
-
Sorry I didn't see you there Baza! And we're not 'just up the road' any more. Hope to see you at some point, young man.
Said hello to plenty of people, no idea if any were OOFers or not, haha, but nice to meet you, if I did :D. Good weekend, as always.
There was a rather shiny, well-looked after Diamond Black PFL V6 saloon by the green tent which looked rather well this year, but I'm biased... ;) :)
-
Good to meet you DBG :y
Many thanks for sorting out the autochanger bracket :y
-
No worries at all :y Good to know there's an OOFer pretty close by, too. Give me a shout if there's any other bits you're on the lookout for, I'll check my 42 ton'sworth of spares, in case I can help :D

Facelift Irmscher bodykit, Irmscher silver steering wheel, Irmscher gloss wood steering wheel :y :D
-
Haha, I chucked my last ones in the bin, yesterday ;)

Was that you in the PFL with the steel wheels and no hubcaps?
-
Haha, yes!!
Christ the amount of people asking ''were's your alloys?''...being refurbed! :D
Well, I mised you last Billing, looks like I missed you again this year, too! Oh well!

Trust me, you were a lot closer than you realise. ;D

Show field was good but not enough toilets. Set out of the club fields area was appaling. Lots of club complaints about that.

Hopefully the organizers will take on the valid points in regard to the facilities and try to make things better for next year....that's if it happens there, or will it be back at Billing as the rumour mill is suggesting :-\ :-X
-
Certainly hope its not back at Billing with all the Pikey scum. Trouble is, he who has the say, would drop MH like a stone if he has a chance as it means he dont have to do anything. IMHO ;)

Never made it to Billing,so I can't draw any comparisons between the two, but MH seemed fine for me and I would certainly attend next year. I guess it's a case of watch this space and see which camp the powers that be land in. ::)
