A bit of update ;)
Just exchanged this:



To that:


it's not finished yet, but swap is done. The C30SE engine was completely rebuild.
Piston squirts were added and oil pump was enlarged. it's got motronic M2.8.1 from X30XE. Runs well.

sorry to drag up this old thread, but I was looking for Mantzel parts and got distracted by the 3.0 GSi 24v conversion. Something in the back of my mind is saying that Irmscher were offering a 4.0 conversion for the Omega when it was launched, which I took at the time to be this engine chucked in with the mother of all over-bores as 3.6, 3.9 and 4.0 have long been available.

ps, was it an easy conversion?

No idea  for the Omega B but they did for the Omega A/Vauxhall Carlton & Senator in Germany ..... clicky

Spec:
B234 saab engine uprated to 2,45L, turbo GT3/7065, uprated clutch, R30 gearbox, 630ccm injectors, ECU trionic T5.5, boost 1,4bar so far
