Painting my wheels...

Had a busy day yesterday...
got fed up with the bad bad corrosion on my mv6 alloys so, spent the day sanding, and painting.
this is the results....
From this....


To this...



Then to this..



Will get somemore pics up next week, when i put them on the car.... :y

a good difference, whats the final colour gonna be?

"Dark carbon grey" it says on the tin.

hi did you hand paint the wheels or spray ???? + where did you get the colour from  8-)

i know what you mean about the primer colour...
i didn't want them too dark, but then again, not too light.
i will get some pics on here next week, when they are on the car, thought i'd give them a week in doors to dry that little bit longer.

Nice finish on em Steve but would it be to much messing about to mask em up to get the original two tone which i personally think gives these wheels their look :).

   Have you lacquered them as well :question.

Tbh i originally planned just to sand off all the corrosion, and re-lacquer, but the back wheels were that bad i couldn't really save them.
I could of painted them in the same sort of style as standard, but i think that may have been a nightmare.
I have lacquered them but the pictures don't really do them justice, they look a lot better in sunlight, hoping they look even better on the car  :D

the wheels are now on the car...
i have also painted my discs as they were rusty in colour, and also painted my calipers...
