MY "QUEEN"
« on: 02 October 2007, 07:52:11 »

Hy all! My name is Secarianu Razvan, but you can call me "razor". I live in Romania, in the city called Constanza, at the Black Sea. So, this is my OMEGA, which I call her the "QUEEN", because many of my collegues tell me that she looks like a ship (vessel). I bought her in november 2005, so she is going for 2 years old, but for me she looks like 2 years new!!! Those are a couple of pics with her, so admire her!

BTW: I found this forum from a friend on our forum here on ROmania which is the largest and actively forum in ROmania,  namely   www.clubopel.com   ,so I recommend it to those of you who undersands romanian language.

P.S.: I will update pics by the end of this week. See ya!

Yep, so I have conducted a series of tests for mounting to my mig a night vision system, very simple, but very usefull and cheap in the same time (if you have an old video camera with night vision capabilities and a monitor). Here are two links witch describe some of the functionalities of the system
http://electronics.howstuff...ision-system3.htm
http://www.i-car.com/html_p...2006/051506.shtml
I personally find this system very usefull in my contry, because at night, even on European roads, there are drunk men, bicyclists, and chariots not signalised.
So, the big question is that you find this system usefull or not, and with arguments. Thanks for your time!

So, I get it work, installed the display in the instrument panel and the camera only for testing, and tomorrow maybe I will install the camera also near the rearview mirror. In 30 minutes I will upload the pictures... Just a sec.

I tried to make the blinds to look as the original, although there isn't from the factory, and it seems that I managed to catch them by the door edge face, the result. I hope you like what came out. :D
http://www.postimage.org/image.php?v=Tslpav0

http://www.postimage.org/image.php?v=Tslpc_9

http://www.postimage.org/image.php?v=Tslpfui

http://www.postimage.org/image.php?v=TslphZr

And if I spread all face, I said why do not you see I could hear a speaker in front left door, Suspecting a bunch of yarn discontinued yarn that is at the opening. And it was exactly. : roll:

http://www.postimage.org/image.php?v=TslqtOJ

http://www.postimage.org/image.php?v=TslqwiS

and I said to see why no longer the audio unit ccr 2006 receives radio stations and here's why

http://www.postimage.org/image.php?v=TslrD8S

http://www.postimage.org/image.php?v=TslrFE0

http://www.postimage.org/image.php?v=TslrN7r

http://www.postimage.org/image.php?v=TslrS6J

http://www.postimage.org/image.php?v=TslrUBS

http://www.postimage.org/image.php?v=TslrZB9

It seems that the threads that come on the motherboard to the amplifier from the antenna connectors are rusty, due to water penetration along its gasket. When you connect the antenna to the unit no longer receives at all, so for now it is connected only on the antenna without amplifier coupled to 12 V, until I find a antirust spray or another amplifier, I found something on the net like a shark type with amplifier.

NEW PICS on NEW YEAR

This is my new dash with plasma tacho/speedo and also greenish display on ECC.

...note the white plasma with BLUE/or GREEN numbering.

...removng the orange filter from the ECC display.

...and at night.

...also installed NOKIA BT carkit CK 20W wich let you listen music from any mobile (mine Omnia) via Bluetooth technology.

...also installed parking sensors with H.U.D. (head up display) wich projects on your windshield the running SPEED with limiters, the battery voltage for 5 seconds when you start the engine, and of course the distance in Meters/Miles when your engage in the rear gear. This is how the sensors look, of course I will paint them in silver as well...

... and best of all I have fittes a muffler in the tail  :y
Hope you all like the new MIG and stay tunned because I will make her a tail spoiler and a pair of eye lash.

I forgot, also changed with a new set of xenon bulbs of 5000 K and installed angel eyes...

This is overall... my beauty for now...

...and with me of course  ;D the crazy behind the wheel, I mean behind the project  :o

Today I have monted what I dreamed for years, a minicomputer onboard. So, I bought a Goclever 5066 FMBT PNA, removed the MID, doing some stucture changes and here is the result...it is not quite polished, but for now it is ok.
So, I got bluetooth carkit, audio and video player, fm transmitter, and GPS.

In WINDOWS CE 5 I got a interface called GOSHELL wich resembles the main menu and has large buttons for a better control, and also is programabble in scripts and menus.

This is a YT link with the operational WINDOWS CE on board.

Sorry for the missing period, forgot to post on this great forum :) I have a blog and I am also active member on ClubOpel.com so...those are the changes in the year 2010 :)
To mention a couple of them: painted front grille in chrome effect, parking sensors with Head up Display (shows the speed in Km/h when I am cruising and the distance in reverse gear), plasma gauge film, bluetooth carkit NOKIA CK 20W (I listen music from my Xperia X1 phone via bt.), stainless stell muffler, full heated and massaged driver seat only with remote controll (10 programs and settings) :D, indash PNA based on WIN CE5 and running MioPocket 4 (the best for PNA's) w. Garmin XT, charcoal window film applied on all rear windows, and will come in the near future a rear roof spoiler, headlight eyelashes, black contour line...and many more :D
A couple of pics...

So stay tunned, especially in

Yep, so I have conducted a series of tests for mounting to my mig a night vision system, very simple, but very usefull and cheap in the same time (if you have an old video camera with night vision capabilities and a monitor). Here are two links witch describe some of the functionalities of the system

I personally find this system very usefull in my contry, because at night, even on European roads, there are drunk men, bicyclists, and chariots not signalised.
So, the big question is that you find this system usefull or not, and with arguments. Thanks for your time!

Thanks allot ! :)
I've also painted in black the interior of the headlight and removed also the CCFL neon because the light beam was refracted :)

also I aquired a HAMA Picollino USB charger that fits exactly in the cigar socket and looks cool :) the connectors look gold-platted

this little thing outputs via USB port 5 V and 650 mA sufficient for any mobile phone/mp3 player/ or electronic cigar :P

i've had also putted a rubber seal on doors for protection, and it stays dry even after washing in the winter :)

An overall image of the whole beauty: H.U.D., Nokia Bluetooth carkit with A2DP profile, GoClever PNA device running MioPocket interface suite 4.0 , details in here http://netfresco.com/MioPocket/default.aspx

I made a clip several days ago, so I must renew it with the NEW LOOK

P.S.: how can I embed a Youtube Clip?

This is the remote control from the massage and heated driver's seat, I must put a sticker to each button's function, meanwhile...

Ok, so I decided to make my Omega a little more comfy :)
Applied real leather to the handbrake lever and under (ensured with double addhesive tape), gearshift and on the centre armrest.

so this is the final result

Also installed D.R.L. made by PHILIPS, based on Luxeon Lumileds so they are very bright :)

Also, this weekend will come a rear roof eleron, hope you like it  ;D

Ok, so as you can all see I stocked a thin black line along the sides of the car, a metal fuel cap cover...

... a steering cover with wood accents and an electronic antenna connected with the roof one :)
