back at work
« on: 05 September 2012, 08:47:17 »

Been back at work for a few weeks now. done a few days here and there but big shifts are now on the agenda again.problem is. no tinker has paid me yet. And trying to get the money is a nightmare. total of 16 days money owed and just over 3k in wages. I've had to turn down work from one of the companies as i haven't been paid since end of July from them.  and no funds to finance other work. Do companies think you can work on fresh air. :( >:(

Frustrating and annoying. Trouble is, big companies can afford to wait but us individuals or small businesses need the cash to flow properly >:(

I'm awaiting a couple of large payments before I can go and put the deposit on a new van ::) I could actually do it now but it would clear me out completely and jeopardise future payments from the account if they don't pay on time ::)

Many years ago I had a mate that was self employed and he did a few weeks delivery work for Comet. Anyway the messed him about for months with his payment so he drove to Hull which was there head office at the time and parked his van across the head office car park entrance/exit and wouldn't move it until they paid up. He had to sit there for a while but they soon coughed up when it was going home time ;D ;D

I hope they sort you out soon Richie :y

i have had to take out a 15k loan to keep cashflow as i have 2-3 jobs on go at the moment plus wages.its a bummer and quite tempting to go off and buy a nice shiny car.

just got paid one invoice for 1k four months old ffs but trouble is i have done a lot of work for the guy and know he is struggling but in time it will come back to me with interest.

very difficult at the moment working for companies thats why i try and not to been bumped a few times last time was owed 3k got a cheque from recievers for something like 26p in the end cant even cash it as they made it out to the wrong name :o

hope it improves for you Richie  :y
