everyday somebody is reported dead by a stabbing, did Tony Blair introduce a law that , if caught with a knife a 5yr prison sentence would be the norm & 7yrs minimum if a person used it.

I suspect that the vast majority of knife crimes don't make it into the media.  Its rife in the cities it seems.

I think quite a few youngsters carry a knife around now. Under the guise of 'self protection'. Which inevitably leads to far worse if they ever decide to use it.
