Well it is time to part with my MV6 Let it be for the record that I am less than happy to let it go. The reason is simply with the miles I am doing, a diesel is cheaper to run.

Scuff on rear quarter (thanks mr 4x4 in a car park)
Front wishbones are starting to go
Needs new aircon pump (replacement is in my garage but not fitted).

It is currently on 138k and is rising at around 700 per week. It doesn't burn oil and runs very well. I get around 300m out of a tank of gas (58-60L) depending on when it cuts out.

I need to find a replacement car and sell this quickly once I get it as I have nowhere to store it MOT till November and I have just put six months tax on.

I am seeing if there is any interest on OOF, otherwise I will part-ex at a dealer. I will put up some pics at the weekend.

Seems like it's being offered for sale at what he can get Px :-/ Although I wouldn't have thought he'd get much more (certainly not on here ) with the faults he's listed.

To the OP: Might help sell if you can get some pictures up, particularly the damage I think it's a very vair price from the description.

Also, are you planning to downsize to a smaller car as well as going Diesel? Just thinking that my 3.0 is almost as economical (miles/£) as most diesels. Although I must admit that the BMW my mate has does beat it a little

It's not quite the part ex price, but not far off

There are faults for which I have reflected in the price. The plan is to get the replacement and then sell to a forum member with the minimum of fuss. I will be downsizing a class but not too much due to the miles I do. I will upload some pictures later that I took this morning.

That was what I was getting at. It may well do but I can't see it being a huge saving. :-/ :-/

My intentions of going to a smelly oil burner will only be considered when this car is at the end of it's useful life And even then it will be a case of pricing up LPG and Kits compared with the larger outlay for the car I'm considering

have you actually worked out the pence per mile? Forget MPG its irrelevant with LPG. Whats key is pence per mile it costs in fuel....

My 2.2 petrol is cheaper than a diesel, in my big mileage days it could get it down to 10.3p a mile....

definately not, but if mine and swmbo's split is permanent and i have to move back in with my mum (as much as i dont want to) then i'll be selling the bora and keeping my MV6
