Title: Mass air flow sensor

Hi chaps
My be a silly question to those who no
But is there a relay or fuse for the mass air flow sensor
And if so where would one find 😟

It's connected to, and powered from, the engine ECU.
So no fuse.


What is the problem you're trying to solve?

Well had replaced mass air flow sensor
Due to fault code indicating problems. And bad running, But replaced with one
From breakers, didn’t much improve,have since discovered rocker cover
Gasket leaking oil into plug wells coil pack soaked in oil
Think this is cause of problem, but now have no reading or very low for sensor, of course could be faulty have tried old one it’s same very low or no reading 😟

You could diagnose the actual problem.

If the running improves with the MAF unplugged, then the MAF is faulty.

Pedal trick it and expect 0300 etc. But report back once pedal trick done :y

It should be written/stamped on the old one.

It’s not genuine boosh one
That’s what I need part number for the boosh one on is Siemens

That number is a GM part number.  :y

I believe, but someone else can confirm, that the four pots use a Siemens MAF from the factory.

GM 90530463 = Siemens 5WK9606Z.
Y22XE & Z22XE use Siemens engine electronics.
That part is also used on Astra G&H, Zafira A, Vectra B&C and several other contemporaneous Opel, Vauxhall & Saab cars.

Bit unlucky for two to be duff, perhaps there is a fault in the connector or a break in the loom?

Used sensor of unknown mileage replaced with another used sensor of unknown mileage from a scrapyard.

I would politely suggest that double failure was almost guaranteed.
