Did someone say cranksensor?

OK - just my imagination

Trying to remember whether the ECU needs to see a cranksensor signal before it runs the pump.

You should see the rev counter needle move off the stop when cranking.
It does. Ignore to post 2 runs the pump for a split second. Then it remains off until the crank and cam sensors confirm correct rotation ;)

There are two purple relays in the engine bay fuse box. One is the pump and one is the injector power. They can be swapped over for testing purposes, although in this case, replacing the pump is a reasonable first step.

It might be a trick of the camera, but that looks bent along the rear edge.

Also remove that bracket with the ball on it... Not even GM arms came with that attached and you will need it ;)

If it's already a manual, then it's a straight swap.

If it's an auto, then you need everything to make it manual.

It's a 5 speed manual. The casing is used to house the various internals and is a bit misleading. The R number refers to the torque range, not the engine size.

Basically the only certainty is that it's a manual gearbox from an Omega. If that's what you're needing, that's what you have. :y

Well before my time but Adam Adamant. :y
Are you sure? When people are adamant they are usually mistaken...

It's only a 4L30E...

https://www.xdalys.lt/en/product/13981212460/ starter for 10, but I would strongly recommend buying one from a 3.0/3.2.

🤣🤣 that’s three cars you want in just a couple of sentences, there’s no hope for you 😵‍💫🤣

I'm fortunate in that I have no money or garage space. So it keeps my car fetish at bay....mostly.
Same  >:D

Waiting off site simply moves the problem elsewhere. And if there's any housing in the vague vicinity that then gets lumped with parking restrictions at best and double red lines at worst.

The drop off/pick up charges are greedy, but by the same token the world is also full of selfish, entitled arseholes so the any free DOPU areas get abused by people too retarded to use the car parks.

It's unfortunately a world that we've created for ourselves.

Ot probably only reads the oil level when cold. Once running/hot the level will be very different.
