You could go into partnership with Nick W.

You buy the bargains , he fixes the issues. Then sell on for a profit. Could be a TV series in it. Something like Wheezer Geezer  ;D

Kind of appropriate for the Covid era ;D

It's not as good as Wheeler Dealers that some unqualified self-abuser stole.

There would have to be a strict rule of no French cars. Or Porsches. And BMWs would be extra

That's right keep it nice & easy with bread & butter stuff.

Hopefully all it will require is a new ticket , only had 3 MOTs so far sailed through each one as I would expect with 2,300 miles.

It's business Steve, but  bid accordingly & stick to the maximum you are happy with, it's just a bit of fun, done it years ago & now I've got time on my hands gives me something to do.

Did you check the MOT history and HPI  :-\
might have 1,000,2300 miles and 7,000 outstanding on finance  :P
It's up to the auction house to check the finance before they sell it. That's why you pay them 15%+VAT in fees.
.

Total amount to hammer price is 24 percent.

Of course, all checks out 100 percent.

Took a ride to the auction house today selling a few more of my Dinky & Corgi collection , they sell everything house clearance etc + the odd car from deceased estates, I spied  a gleaming black VW Up 2015 reg with 2,300 miles 1 owner MOT just expired so put a pre auction bid in, if I get it cheap enough put it through a test could make a few quid..😁

Good luck with that. ;D

The vast majority of semiconductors are from China or Taiwan (not quite China yet, then) so if you want to listen to the wireless in your cave make sure it's an old  valve set. ;D

I sympathise with the sentiment, but the western world has gone way too far down that path to ever turn back now. :(

Absolutely spot on this would be a totally pointless exercise, can see the reasoning behind this but as you say far too late.

to be honest taking a modern 4x4 off road would probably cause more damage to itself than a proper 1st generation range rover or series LR would ever do !

Having recently driven a L reg Series 3 LR for the very first time I reckon it'd cause me more damage .... 3 pedals, no PAS, drum brakes front & back that need a real shove to make anything happen and somewhat restricted view out of the front when the spare is on the bonnet. Give me my ML350 any day of the week  :y :y
.

Got to agree with you there my wife's cousin had an old LR awful old boneshaker , I've just driven 334 miles in the RRS in ultimate comfort & virtual silence, wonderful.
