Well before my time but Adam Adamant.

Please play nicely. No one wants to listen/read a keyboard warriors rants....

. The 525d was a down tuned 3.0d.
This is what I should have bought instead of the Chrysler. They're invariably in a nice old man spec with lots of toys and comfy seats and yet a remap alone will add 100hp and 170nm
Forum members will know I'm not the greatest fan of derv cars but I think old Tigger has done well here.
Incidentally what is the difference between a 330D and the 335D as they both share the same 3 litre straight six lump?
Good choice.
The 535d is a twin turbo (one small turbo and one large), whereas the 530d is a variable geometry single turbo.
Incidentally, at one stage the 525d, the 530d, the 540d, and the 550d all used the 3.0d block. The 525d was a down tuned 3.0d.
530D and 535D. difference.
The price?
I do have a V6 SC as the personal toy and have driven pretty much every other type (including an proto SV V8 facelift that never made production).
I really rate them, very involved drive and pretty competent handling, for me the V8 was to much as er-indoors also drives it

Though i'm not a fan of light interiors, that Tig, looks very nice.If you are prepared to put the effort in to keep a light leather interior clean, they always look really nice IMHO.
That's why I always opt for dark interiors
I would have preferred a black interior, but I got to the stage where I just needed a car.
This one popped up on Autotrader on Thursday night and in the pics looked like it was parked on the drive of a very nice house (It was!), had under 100,000 miles, had FSH, was fairly local and was at a reasonable price. So I got the train to see it on Friday, bought it and carried on to Scotland.
Too be honest when you're sat it it looking out of the windscreen, you don't notice the interior anyway.
My neighbour has a 1960s 3.4 Jaguar which his mother bought new it's simply stunning in red with chrome wire wheels, that's the only Jaguar I'd love to own, the modern versions just don't hit the spot.
If I'd worked harder at school I'd have one of these (assuming you mean a mk2). Always liked the idea of a light blue one to match my dad's e-type.
Then again I also think the first generation xk8 is one of the best looking cars of the last 30yrs. And SWMBO really wants an XK....
An f-type wouldn't go amiss either.
Prince Albert is known for being, er, open minded
I’m rubbish at history, I’d always thought that a Prince Albert was a genital piercing. Every days a school day.![]()
....
They dont even carry the bins anymore like they used to. They just wheel them to the truck.
Bunch of woosies.
I remember bin men carrying the bins out on their shoulders .... they had a big leather pad they put the bin on
SWMBO used to work in waste management. The binners were a bolshy lot!
