Nowt wrong with those dave. What I would call “Ibiza sound” . One of my regrets is not getting tt Pacha.

Nice to hear of other Pink Floyd nuts! I have had the same CD in the 4x4 for over a year……

I must look up Gary Moore in Skid Row before he went to Thin Lizzie.

We are mostly of a certain age, so I thought I would start a thread on your favourite music tracks and why.

One of mine is “ when the levee breaks” Led Zeppelin. The drums and harmonica are just sublime. A late uncle in law played harmonica and I sort of learnt……Interestingly I don’t think it was a track that Zeppelin played live . The drums were in a pit and the harmonica layered on afterwards. Still a great track.

What is yours and why?

I have always said a charge of say five quid for first gp consultation and 20 quid for hospital consultation would reduce that waste. I wouldn’t advocate a charge per consultation as the follow on are generally attended out of self interest.

How about a payment by the nhs to customers when an appointment is cancelled? That might focus minds……….

No, different internals. The 1275 gt has 9 stud head compared to the S ‘s 11 stud for example.

No , it wasn’t even the S engine .

It is “ our generation” with disposable income to buy the car of their youth. As you say madness.. Give it ten or o years years and ome Oofers will be paying similar money for an Omega…….

The amazing thing to me is that the police sent him on his way with a “ be careful”.

It would be interesting seeing the rig in heavy traffic!

electric hand/parking/emergency brakes ..... the answer to a problem that never existed.

At least my ML's only goes on when I tell it to & not automatically when the car stops.

Agree. Plus the stupid interlock . Open your door and the handbrake comes on.

You know you are old when:

We had to take our dog to the emergency vet hospital in Granada city in the night. After we left him there, we were very thirsty. Couldn’t find anywhere where we could get a coffee. Then we saw youngsters consuming at outside tables at a Burger King. It was still over 33C at 2.30 am.

Pulled over and parked and crossed dual carriageway on foot. Door locked. Must be an outside ordering hatch. Went round the side to see a car being served ….. Long queue. Walked a bit further looking for ordering hatch. Couple of issues. QR code , no menu ( mobile phones in our parked car over the road.  Worse though, the thought of shuffling along from the back of the queue on foot whilst yet more cars joined the queue.

We did the only reasonable thing and left. Still never been to a Burger King.

We did get a decent coffee in a pot cup at a motorway stop ten minutes later.

We are having a gigantic clear out after a lifetime of hoarding.

I found my much used Haltrac Hoist . Extracted or put in many engines back in the 70’s. Prior to that I used to use proper hoist at local farm.

Couldnt imagine me ever using it again orr anyone else. ( the string might just have degraded!) .

So in the bin it went. I still have tools that are older.

What is oldest tool that you have ?
