Omega General Help / Droning noise from NS front on 99 plate 3.0 MV6

Since putting my Mig back on the road this summer, there has been a droning noise coming from the front - it's variable with the speed of the car.

I thought at first it was the start of a whining diff but the wife definitely hears it from the front passenger side and after been driven home from a beer festival - I agree with her ( for once)

Sorry not much to go on - I thought of wheel bearing perhaps ?

The tyres are all the same pattern with good tread as I also wondered of road noise from the tyres but they have been on the car for a while.

Any pointers gratefully received

Not sure there's been a thread on this before but...

My 3.0 MV6 has 77,600 on the clock. Not bad for 14 years on the road but must be lot lower mileages out there

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Ccrt700 upgrade - different multiplug needed?

Hi there

I am upgrading the stereo on my 1999 mv6 to a ccrt700 from the ccr600.

I am not bothered about the phone part of it yet as I think it is a pro job, but I noticed the multi plug is different.

Is there a multi plug I could buy for the bit from the loom to the (3) stereo multi plugs.

Thanks in advance - although I could goth a breakers I suppose and take it off an elite etc.

hi , i have a 99 MV6 auto saloon on a V plate.

the wife has her astra and i have my disco so i am having difficulty insuring the mig as all no claims used up on the other two cars and multi car policies are, despite their claims, i find are very expensive

has anyone managed to get a classic car policy on their mig. some folk reckon if a car is 10 years old it qualifies as a classic but i have drawn a blank at moment

any pointers anyone

Hi All

Anyone give an opinion on why my LCD display on my MV6 (1999) has suddenly decided not to work.

I had a totally flat battery which I have charged up over the last full day. Just took the car for a spin now and realised that the LCD display has "gone awf"  . Does it have a separate fuse at all? Was working fine yesterday? Radio working fine etc..

Any pointers gratefully recieved

Morning all

Just gone to the Mig (mv6 1999) to start playing with it to put on the road again after laid up over winter, but car battery flat now (which it wasnt last week - but hey ho) - the key wont open drivers door neither so effectively locked out of the car.

Any easy solutions other than trying a coat hanger.

Omega General Help / wipers parking "off position"

Hi all

Got a 99 MV6 - the wipers stopped at about 45 deg and I thought originally it was the screen been dry and the friction stopping them. But when started again the wipers go to normal park position and then do their stuff but park again at 45 deg. 

Is there an adjustment I can do?

Omega General Help / Upgrading ccrt600 to ccrt700 on mv6

Has anyone done an upgrade from a ccrt600 to ccrt700?

I would like to if poss as have bought a ccrt700 head unit. I appreciate I have no roof aerial but can get something suitable. I notice the plug at the rear of the casing is different. Is there any adapters?

Hi, finally got back into Omega MV6 ownership. Had 2 in the early noughties. Now kids a little older and depreciation on my side this time, have bought another 1999 year on a 'V' with 68k miles 

Just need a leather interior now and I'm a happy bunny.

One of earlier cars was S613BNP if anyone knows its existence.

Omega General Help / 3.0 MV6 auto 1999 - Non start when warm, now stalling sometimes

I know it's been probably a common issue here, but is there a definitive answer with this problem? I have purchased a crankshaft sensor, but is this the fix, before I make a start swopping it over.

Obviously starts fine when cooled off.

Bit worrying about the stalling as obviously it won't start again until cooler so could be dangerous.

Any comments great fully received.
