Ok, so there is precedent then to enter a new charge of Causing Death by Dangerous Cycling...

I suspect that had he been riding either a racing motorbike or racing car that a Manslaughter charge would have been appropriate, whilst enabling the option to enter a plea of guilty of CDbDD to counter the Ms charge.

Then perhaps a change in the law is required... to either introduce an offence of 'Causing death by dangerous cycling' or to change 'Causing death by dangerous driving' to 'Manslaughter' :-\

I suspect that the dangerous cycling offence would begin a slippery slope to insurance and registration.

Also, whilst the manslaughter charge may seem harsh, the severity, and relative unlikelihood of killing someone with a bicycle, perhaps warrants a more severe charge that merely dangerous driving/riding.

I suspect the actual punishment will match the motoring offence, but it should help reiterate the fact that with freedom comes responsibility.

Using nature as a way to justify MAD is, er, mad ::)

Natural events are releases of tension in a delicately balance system far beyond our control, if not influence.

Mankind, a cracking oxymoron if ever there was, is rather ingenious... Always has been and always will be, but as ever there are people who will use this ingenuity for personal or disruptive gain.

Natural forces are balancing, not driven by greed, and there in lies the difference  :y

The trouble with Omegas is that you spend alot of time and money making your one right. Then you see another one which has less rust/mileage/better colour or spec. You buy it, and suddenly you have to spend all that time and money repeating everything that you did to the first one. Then on both cars repeating everything again every four years... ::)

This is why I got rid of mine, and I was practically married to my white 3.2 :-[ and why I would be wary to buy another :-\

The clip arrived today, but cannot get to the nut. My mechanic has very small hands, going to see if he can fit it. I don’t want to have to take the wipers and scuttle off, looks beyond my abilities😀
Follow the guide :y

One torx screw and 8? twist clips under the windscreen seal and two nuts for the wipers...

Even if they quote £250-300, you're still well ahead of the first quote :y

Vx service parts are cheap enough :y

Just need to find someone to fit them...

Might be worth asking local Vx dealer for a fitting quote... They occasionally have fixed price offers on certain jobs such as coolant/brake fluid and cambelt changes :y

Are F/L irmscher really worth £350?, like the one on ebay. Would like one but at that price, plus cost of repaint it seems alot
I bought the last new one a few years ago... It cost nearly a grand.

Entirely up to you  ;)

I fully agree with the sentiment E, and get thoroughly fed up at having to defend every single thing I post just because one person has decided to be objectionable.

And again, another perfectly good thread trashed due the provocation of one person >:(

Haynes manual wiring diagrams cover the later 2.5. It distinguishes between pre and mid facelift. It should provide enough detail to help with your car inspite of being a facelift... Apart from some of the cabin switch gear, the rest is pretty much the same :y
