Not illegal, but a consequence of firms fitting vehicles with speed limiters below the legal limit of 56...

Ignoring the fact that on dual carriageway roads the trucks are legally obliged to be doing 50 :-X

If you travel that road regularly you know that both Hampshire and Sussex patrol it and that there are often camera vans on any one of the bridges. Also, there's often a ten minute queue to join the Terminus Rd roundabout when you hit Chichester.

Unless you normally travel that stretch at a ton plus, the five minutes difference the trucks make to your journey is irrelevant. And it isn't like there are several alternative routes get from Cosham to Chichester in a car... :-X

Not anymore Al.  The speed limits for HGV's have been raised from 40mph to 50mph on single carriageways and from 50mph to 60mph on duel carriageways.  ;)
Fair dos, but a moot point with 56mph limiters ::) alot of supermarket stuff is stuck at 50-52 'to save fuel' making them slow enough to catch up, but almost too quick to pass... if you were driving the tanker and had been stuck behind the Asda truck, you would probably have given up and pulled round it... I know I would :-X

I am not going to go into the whole smokers debate... that there is only one smoking area airside, there used to be four, for the whole of Gatwick tells you everything you need to know...

But whilst a personal danger at that time, I cannot see how the fishermen would be responsible for a section of net... it could easily have snagged on a rock on the sea bed and been torn off... with relatively neutral buoyancy it will drift around undetected for years... the first the fisherman will know is when they lift the net and find a hole in it... no chance whatsoever of identifying where it happened and retrieving it :-\

Then I would politely suggest that you aren't looking...

From the front of the car, look through the bumper grill below the centre of the number plate and report back... short of coming over and placing your hand on it, I cannot help you any further.

Access is from above though.
