If you travel that road regularly you know that both Hampshire and Sussex patrol it and that there are often camera vans on any one of the bridges. Also, there's often a ten minute queue to join the Terminus Rd roundabout when you hit Chichester.
Unless you normally travel that stretch at a ton plus, the five minutes difference the trucks make to your journey is irrelevant. And it isn't like there are several alternative routes get from Cosham to Chichester in a car...
Not anymore Al. The speed limits for HGV's have been raised from 40mph to 50mph on single carriageways and from 50mph to 60mph on duel carriageways.
alot of supermarket stuff is stuck at 50-52 'to save fuel' making them slow enough to catch up, but almost too quick to pass... if you were driving the tanker and had been stuck behind the Asda truck, you would probably have given up and pulled round it... I know I would
