Could be the end of Omega ownership for me. This job is ******* me off bigtime. !!!!!!
Bad enough trying to get the the flamin' thing off, getting it back on is doing my head in. Got the bottom bolt in, now it won't swing round to do the top. Tried the top, then the bottom one won't line up.
If I can't get this sorted pretty sharp, I shall ring the scrappy for a price to cart all three off. Too old for this crap. >:(
If it can wait, I will be passing at some point on Thursday morning... ;)

As I understand it the latest jet fighters cannot actually stay in the air without their computer systems operating.  They are impossible to fly without this electronic input that adjusts the aircraft's trim.
Hence my point about gliding ;) most fighters have a glide ratio of 1:1 following stores dumping... The F35 doesn't have an official glide ratio due to its non existent unpowered flight performance. To give you an idea of what a 1:1 descent and subsequent landing feels like, the Osprey has been designed to fragment in order to absorb the impact... basically the props splinter and the wings snap off at the roots whilst the undercarriage/seats/and fuselage all deform to absorb the worst of the impact... the safety cell is tested to deform to 85% of its original volume  :o with one engine its glide ratio improves to 4:1, so the passengers and crew might walk out of it :-\

By comparison, commercial aircraft seem to fare better, the obvious case being: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_Transat_Flight_236

Although it is not an unique situation: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_airline_flights_that_required_gliding

Most of the fatal flights in the list are either ones that encounter engine failure either just after take off or during final approach. The notable absence from the list is: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Airways_Flight_38

Wing/aircraft design, altitude and training are the three equal factors that determine how successfully a powered aircraft might land with no thrust.

Centre of the bumper below number plate...

Massive clue here...
Facelift sensor can be changed by opening the bonnet. Takes five minutes if you're blind and stop for tea and cake :D

The rubber bush shouldn't be removed from the tube. Sure sign that the rubber bush has failed.

The tube, or 'peg' needs liberating from the trailing arm... A long screwdriver or suitable piece of studding should should provide enough leverage to jiggle it free...

I thought that it was illegal to do DIY car repairs in Germany?
Only on a Sunday... :D

That metal bush isn't designed to be removed from the shock.

Smack ten bells out of the bush to liberate it from the trailing arm and either attempt to refit it using one of the above suggestions or, better still replace the pair. :y

At least you know not to disturb them next time ;)

The question was which favourite foods would you give up, not least favourite...

I am practically allergic to mashed potato, semolina, rice pudding, jam rolypoly, spotted dick and custard. Giving them up would be easy because I never eat them ::)

I am not sure that I could chose between salmon, chicken, duck or beef :-\

I forget the brand, but the new exhaust on my Focus was a German ebay cheapy and was a lot less hassle than removing the old one... ::)

It delivered exhaust gas to the back of the car without issue and cost £75 delivered, so I consider that all the criteria met :D

Setting your cruise control at 55 mph will see your actual speed at circa 51mph as VAG speedos overread quite generously (hence the error between computer and real world)... this puts you very close to the plus 10% minimum required for safe overtaking of trucks doing an actual 56mph... Borderline suicidal.

I would rather get 25mpg less and not risk being crushed in the car. :-X

What is it? Is it the relays inside the ABS box? They are soldered on? How much of a pain is it to swap the black box?
Black box is held on by six torx screws. Several places repair them, be at least one specialist in each country ;)
