Oil and filter and air filters on TPC.

Also dug out the NSR abs sensor that's be giving an intermittent fault recently and gave it a thorough clean. No obvious damage but it was quite manky. Came out in one piece though, so that's something. If it pops up.again then I'll look at a new sensor.

Found and treated a bit of surface fuzz in behind the wheel arch dog leg and adjusted the parking brake whilst I was there.
Has the Mercedes become an antiseptic liquid?
Oh ffs ;D

If I.ever meet A I Bot... we'll be having words.

Just drive down and pick her up. Or let her figure it out.

Does it change with rpm?

Go pick her up in the car.

I suffer trains because my short sighted, dim-witted company doesn't like car travel. So in their minds it better for me to have a hire car to go to the train station 15 miles away, then pay Chiltern £100 for a ticket to travel and park, then bring hire car home.  Despite the fact it's cheaper and quicker to drive, paying for Khan the Khunt's taxes and London parking....
That sounds about as retarded as the quest for sustainable aviation when all the waste off a flight has to be incenerated because "it's contaminated" ::)

Does it go away when it warms up?

Sounds like an exhaust manifold tick. That it's been present for a year suggests that it's not a significant mechanical issue.

I assume you have STAR to programme all this stuff in ?
Indeed, not quite full access, but it's a Toughpad with 2023 DAS/Xentry  and a third party pass through box. I might upgrade the pass through to a genuine C5 unit along with newer software at some point, but it gets most things done :y

is the unit fully installed and bled ?

Oh! I wonder if it needs connecting to a Tech 2 type thing to cycle the pump to get the air out to allow it to build pressure:/
Surely a snap off scanner should manage that :-\

11. Massage front seats.

Basically deletes the original memory heated/ventilated multicontour dynamic front seats and adds it all back with massage function. The massage gubbins includes another ECU, wiring , air lines and extra air bladders so swapping the seats is much easier from a retro fit perspective.

Five bolts, two plugs and an air line per seat. And the dig through the various modules to make the controls accessible.

Total time: An 'easy' hour... I say 'easy' because the seat weigh about the same as a Fiesta.

Items required:

Pair of suitably equipped seats. £150.

Factory option cost: £340.

Item cost: £150.

Savings: £190.

Collected and fitted the massaging front seats for TCP and coded them in. Should have grabbed them when I picked up the rear seats but hey ho.

Just to add. Belt is definitely on the correct way round.
All marks on cam sprockets, gauge, tensioner and crank line up exactly where they should.

I’ve rotated two turns, and repeated this 3 times. As far as I can see everything looks bang on.
That's about all you can do :y

So do I have to send it off to be checked out, TBH its been sat over 20 years.
Wouldn't be the worst idea unless the wiring diagrams clearly indicate what/where the pressure release relay is for testing purposes.
