If you want to force recycling without it being too troublesome, follow the system they use in the USA. When you buy a can/bottle you are charged 10 cents per container (price may have changed) as a surcharge. When you are done with the containers, you can take them back to the shop. Outside is a recycling machine that reads the barcode and counts the items. Once done, it issues you with a voucher for X value in that store.

Hence why in older films you'd always see the homeless pushing a trolley around full of cans/bottles.

The homeless over here would be set alight or kicked to death, robbed of their collection of cans by the scummy bastards that wander the streets of the UK.

Watched it , Monaro performed reasonably well but just looks a bit too Astra lookalike,  the TVR  sounded terrific but know all about the problems with them as my brother had one.

I think you would do far better with an S typeR Jaguar 4.2 400 bhp and 400 lbs ft too.
 And cheaper👍
Just had a look at them on the trader. All getting on a bit but look good. Always liked the S type, despite people saying it's an ugly f*cker but, then again, I like top gear  ::)

Me too!  :y

I've just watched the first episode with their Dad's cars, which brought back memories of my Dad and his Dark Green Mk1 Ford Capri.  8)

Had a bit of a lump in my throat....  :-\

Dad's cars, There was a few of them, I was fortunate to get driving lessons in Dad's company car which just happened to be a 1972 2500 BMW, I think this is where my love of big cars came from.

My Dad nearly always had Fords MK2 3 & 4 Zephyrs & Zodiacs mostly , had a MK1 Cortina for a short while but didn't like it, my favourite car of his was a 2.4 Jaguar in black had the wheel covers over the rear wheels & burgundy leather interior  I can even remember seeing it for sale on the car lot £335 ! I would love to own it now, reg number was UYY 765 must have been around 1965 when he bought it.

Saw a programme a few years ago where a British company was recycling plastic into tiny granules which was then being used to resurface roads with, it seemed to very positively accepted that this was the way forward, it appeared to be much more durable than the ridiculous patch repairs that last a week or so. Never heard about it again but umpteen programmes about our recycling just being dumped showing that a lot of us are simply wasting our time "doing the right thing".

I don't agree with the report either. Me and all my friends are racist, and I think we deserve a mention.

You have friends..... ::) ::) :o :o

Come on now. ;D
Yes, I have friends. Racist friends.  ;D

Hey Steve, I remember you from years ago in your Doc Martens Ben Sherman, and braces on your jeans ..😁

There's guys on the RRS forum raving about their electric RRs I wouldn't give £500 for one let alone thousands of pounds.

I'd rather use a pair of roller skates, as for £21,000 that really is madness.

We had a saying in HMPS about Muslims, but if I mentioned what it was on here I could offend someone and end up with a ban or worse , needless to say it was anything but complimentary. I personally have no time for them or their so called religion, just makes me sad & very angry that they are being allowed to take over .

When I was a kid in South London all black people were referred to as darkies , our PE teacher at school used the term nignog to anyone black or white who did not put enough effort into exercise, hate to think what he would make of all this  shite being spouted at the moment.

A Jaguar whose MOT expired in 2018 has the registration WOG1
don't think much of his chances of keeping the plate if  it gets through the next one although technically because of its age it doesn't really require one.
