Had two Marinas a jubilee edition & an estate don't recall any real problems with either of them.

Take a look at the MOT history personally I wouldn't touch it and those wheels ugh!

Tbh I didn't see anything overly scary with the MOT history, oil is a consumable after all.  :P

I am 100% with you on the wheels, but chances are if you opted to buy some standard second hand rims the first time you needed to swap the tyres, you'd probably make a bit selling those awful items. Or at least pay for the refurb on their replacements.  :y
.

Perhaps I'm just a fussy old fart but it doesn't look like it's been looked after very well to me & I've never bought a bad car yet.😎

That's why it's cheap Tilbo!  ;D
.

Exactly plus way too many miles for my liking , some folk prefer high miles but not me.

I don't understand the fascination with them at all[not just the RR but all the rest too]but I hope it serves you well.

I always said that I wouldn't by a Land Rover but after driving this one had to have it if you can just try driving one.

No need ;D

A car I am considering has nothing worse than a couple of tyres and a smattering of ball joints, so no concern :y

It's the first thing I look at when considering a car purchase , gives a good insight to see if a car has been looked after.

The on going oil leak is the biggest item of concern. Well that and the airbag warning...

Suspension and brakes on a car that size are very much regular service items  :y

I bet you've already looked at mine DG 😀

An imposing beast. In that 'star silver' I see. ;)

My last 5 vehicles have all been silver, would really like a nice metallic blue but beggars can't be choosers! You know what I mean Opti 😀

In 4 years all I did on my E430 was two tyres & 4 oil changes, and then sold it back to the dealer I bought it from. Can't beat the sound of a V8 😁

The main reason I had never considered a RR is the horror stories of running costs, I have every bill for this vehicle & all seem fairly reasonable to me , the OE air suspension pump fitted at 60,000 miles was £653.00  I had far bigger bills on the Hyundai.

I just had to have the alternator and rear passenger door lock assembly replaced (the former because, well, it was knackered and the latter because it was an MOT fail) - £800 at a local indy for a Denso alternator and OE lock assembly, fitted.. I didn't think that was too bad.

It had two new EGR valves under warranty, that was £1000.. but at least the cranks don't snap on the TDV8, unlike the TD & SDV6 ;)

Now you can go and get yourself a remap for a healthy 320hp and 550lb/ft or somewhere in that region from either Bell Auto Services or Alive Tuning :y
.

My pal at work has had his remapped ,but I don't think I would bother I'm old school , like my vehicles completely as they left the production line that's what attracted me to this one completely stock.

Did a lot of reading up on the engines used in Range Rovers very little praise for the 4.4 the 2.7 should be avoided as considered underpowered , 5.0 supercharged superb but will struggle to achieve 15mpg the best is considered to be the 3.6 twin turbo capable of between 19-31mpg & bags of torque. I have got 30 mpg on a run & 25 on my daily commute virtually the same as my old Terracan.
