Did you eat many pão-de-queijo(cheese breads)?
I'm a Cruzeiro fan.

I find these differences from automakers interesting. Mondeo was sold here as imported in the 1990s and the importation lasted approximately 10 years.

Is your Ford Fusion (pictured above) our first generation Ecosport? In the background photo, our first generation Ford Fusion.

Here in Brazil we have the Mercado Livre(originally from Argentina), which is very similar to Ebay. I bought a replacement new expansion reservoir. The original GM I will clean and save. I just bought the reservoir, but I got a free cap, "Ford" from Fiesta/KA 1.6 ROCAM. As it has the same specifications as the Omega "GM" cover, I'll try it. I hope it doesn't leak.

:D :D :D :D This model above looks like Ecosport.

Sorry. Ford Fusion here in Brazil are just sedans, like the one in the photo below, of the current generation:

Current official model used to carry the president.

Certainly seemed a quite impressive turn out of Omega A[Vauxhall Carlton as it was badged here],what was the car with the BMW like grille?

The model with the split grill that resembles the BMWs is the first generation Omega imported from Australia, from 1998, Buick V6 engine with 200 HP. We call the Omegas made in Australia Omega Kangaroos. The Omegas were widely used since launch to transport the country's presidents, politicians and ministers. Unfortunately GM stopped importing them and delivered the market to the competition. The car that currently carries the president and other dignitaries is the Ford Fusion.

Friends,

I really enjoyed the images of your meetings. Below is a video of the Clube do Omega MG (Omega MG Club), the best event we have held here, in the largest environmental conservation area of our city, Parque das Mangabeiras. This event brought together several Chevy (Opel) clubs:

Opala, Caravan, Chevette, Vectra, Astra, Kadett, Tigra, Monza, Corsa, Blazer, Calibra, classic cars like Camaro and Impala, Omegas and Supremas of all models and generations.

Cab heater is normal. I recently changed the water pump, block seals and radiator. Walking slowly does not leak. Yesterday I accelerated the car, on a boulevard close to home, for about 100 meters, as I say to "clean the injectors" and feel the turbo start; I arrived at a friend's workshop and lid was wet with cooling solution. I bought a new reservoir (the old one is still original, 27 years old and is yellowish). I made the tightness test on the covers and none held pressure. I haven't given up on the original cover (with level sensor) yet. I will disassemble and clean with WD40. In several videos on Youtube, I see complaints about reservoir covers by Brazil. Even a friend, electrician of my car, has a Fiesta 1.6 ROCAM engine and has the same problem on the cover.

Used original cap with sensor like mine:

New cover with sensor only used. New cover like the one I bought:

After a trip of only 200 km, I realized that there was a leak of 1 liter of cooling solution through the reservoir cap (still original, with 27 years of use). I bought a spare "original GM", but it leaks, I bought another from the parallel market that also leaks. I am using the original cover, which leaks less. I found several options on Ebay, with advantageous price, but do not know the brands. Could you point me to some reliable cover brands to buy?
Thanks.

The only one I took (well, frame grabbed from video)

So the drone was used for photography, and it was yours! Excellent shot, especially if it's a frame from a video sequence! It demonstrates how much progress has been made in this field. Health and safety regulations must restrict where you can fly them, your shot is taken from above the bank.

Congratulations on the beautiful machines! I really liked the photos taken by the drone. Soon we plan to add photos like this to the meetings here.

The viscous propeller of my car lost efficiency about 10 years ago. Here in Brazil, when this happens, most decide to lock the propeller, so that it rotates next to the engine, especially the owners of Omegas 2.0. Theoretically it improves cooling, in a country where the temperature most of the year stays above 30ºC and mostly produces a cool sound, kkkkkkkkkkk. The replacement for the electric fan was motivated by overheating caused by a short circuit that stopped the auxiliary electric fan in the air conditioner. The locked propeller proved unable to cool the engine by itself, running in the city. The car's dashboard was disassembled, the 27-year-old wiring defect fixed. The locked propeller is like the air conditioner on all the time and without it there was a noticeable performance gain. The two electric fans have been running together for 2 years without problems.

Omega General Help / REPLACING VISCOUS PROPELLER BY ELECTRIC FAN
« on: 14 October 2019, 15:12:18 »
Before installing the turbo kit, I had the viscous propeller removed and decided to install a 16-inch electric fan instead. A second temperature switch was mounted on the upper radiator hose. Now the two electric fans work independently, each with its own switch. Using a relay, this new fan continues to run for some time to lower the temperature after the engine is turned off. With this modification we gain space, because the fan is much thinner than the propeller. The pressurization of the turbo to admission passes right there.

No problem.  :y
I've seen Youtube videos of a Brazilian drift driver who adapted the manual gearbox of a Blazer V6 in Omega 3.0. I am curious which other gearboxes are compatible.

I don't remember whether it was the Americans or the Europeans, but the idea of adding 15% gasoline to ethanol is excellent to make it easier to start the cold engine. Here, a few days a year are cold, we only have E100 at the gas stations. Only in the newer flex models have automakers been able to eliminate the gas tank for cold-start engines. With programmable injection you can choose to start cold without gasoline (pulsing the injectors), but on cold days (between 5 and 15ºC in my city is cold, kkkkkkk) was not efficient, requiring many attempts for the engine to run. In my car, problem solved with additional gas tank. I hope the option of using the E85 will be universal in Europe. In addition to polluting less, the engine gets more powerful.
