I paid circa £180 for lateral flow tests and PCR bookings for my lad and his gf to travel abroad. From 4am on Friday they've been scrapped. I demand a refund.

General Discussion Area / Hearing aids
« on: 29 December 2021, 11:32:55 »
Wifey just told me that one of her teachers has bought new, Bluetooth enabled hearing aids. The teacher can listen to music from her phone or link them to a Bluetooth enabled tv and turn the volume up on the aids to save everyone else from being deafened by the telly. And much more......

I've already posted about my lad getting a covid test on Boxing Day, today I 'upgraded' my BT internet package to one with discs and an EE dongle and the appointments shown for a visit from a super duper tech wizard included Boxing Day.  :o

General Discussion Area / Covid tests for travel
« on: 16 December 2021, 15:40:38 »
It's going to cost me around £320 for these fickin things. My lad is travelling to Romania on 27th December, so..... £70 each for him and his girlfriend for day 2 tests when they get back, £20 each for lateral flow tests to take with them and £70 each for PCR test within 48 hours of travelling.
I thought I'd got away with it all, telling him that it would be impossible to get a test within 48 hours of travelling, because those 48 hours were Christmas Day and Boxing Day. But no, they have booked their tests in Leeds at 10:30 on Boxing Day.  :( I'll have to drive them there, wait and bring them home too. Double  :( :(
I'm going to be relying on boots the chemist to deliver the first two tests by next Friday, can't order before tomorrow when they come home because boots want a photo, picture of passport and colour of underwear on the booking. Treble  :( :( :(

General Car Chat / Renault
« on: 09 December 2021, 19:03:19 »
The Renault Zoe is only the third car in 25 years of testing to get zero stars on Euro NCAP. The others were fiats, panda and punto (older models). Despite this, Renault have decided that every one of it's courtesy cars from dealers in this country will be a.......Zoe.
