General Discussion Area / Re: Chemist prescription deliveries
« on: 10 April 2024, 16:00:11 »
We changed our GP practice last year because I was given advice by the newly qualified diabetic nurse which was total rubbish , changed over saw the diabetic nurse in the new practice who agreed with me that everything was indeed absolutely spot on , all prescriptions are requested  on the NHS app and they text me when they are ready for collection, consider ourselves very lucky to  have been recommended this practice, all staff including the dispensing chemists are always cheerful & chatty.
Exactly the same for me, the app is called Airmid UK.

Chemists are run off their feet and make very little money from dispensing prescriptions. They could easily tell you that if you don't like it, you know what to do.

Vauxhalls have been a pile of shit for years. Euro shit boxes to be precise, but they do the job and are reasonably well specced.

It's to replace the Crossland, so a smaller car based on the Citroen eC3 platform.

Needs to be reported to the relevant authorities.  >:(
Yes, report it to VOSA

I can barely get £200 scrap for my 3.2 Elite, with Irmcher grill and steering wheel and its fully driveable.
Yes, but he's got two to shift.

I would definitely class the 2 rear seats in a Zafira as occasional use only, the Zafira is too small to be a full time 7 seater.  With 4 "little darlings" and the associated crap that has to be carried, I would start to suggest something a little larger.
Transit Tourneo or LWB Vito/Viano.
Yeah, cause everyone cab afford one of those.

Mm my 1.6 is petrol

1.6T petrol was never fitted in the Zafira C in the UK. Europe had it though.
Rae's is probably a B

The trick women used to use was to let us think we were in charge. Works both ways.

I thought zaf C was either 1.4T petrol or 2.0 diesel, but there may have been some crossover.

625bhp, rwd on damp roads. What could possibly go wrong?

It does come with 4 driven wheels.

The second Jagaur XFR  I owned had around 600 BHP after Viezu had a play. And rear drive only.

It did shit me up in the wet though. :D ;D
If I were stupid enough to go for a spin with you, it would end up in a fatality. I'd definitely have a heart attack.

You should go for spin with Rae in his Evo then!   :)   I'm a shadow of my former self....  :o   ;D

Your elderly uncle is a man of advanced years, Tig.

A spin in a tuned 500BHP Evo driven by Rae would surely see him into the next world.

A bag of boiled sweets, a cup of Ovaltine, and an early night is far more appropriate. :)
Sounds good to me , as long as the boiled sweets are Werthers. Yum  ;D

TBH, at my age and with my driving style these days, I would have one. Very roomy and, although the engine isn't very pokey, it's quiet and smooth. Unfortunately, the tech that comes with them is a bit 'nannying'.

Why the hell do manufacturers put puny engines into bigger and bigger cars? Ford stick a 1 litre engine in a Mundano for gods sake.  ::)
50mpg in the grandland, if driven sensibly  :y

A lot of these modern diesels seem to have a 1.5L engine, don't know if it's the same derivative.

Back in the day 118BHP was a respectable amount of power for a 'sporting saloon car'

When cars were not fat bastards and  car owners were not fat bastards. 8)
My astra (K) is very light compared to the J. It manages to pick up its skirts quite nicely on only 136bhp.
