Cat Cover
« on: 20 May 2021, 22:32:44 »

Driving along today and heard a slight ping/clang and saw a piece of metal in the rear view mirror turns out to be the guard or reinforcing for cat so solutions before anymore damage can be caused to cat.Could I wrap it in something for example? Any likely MOT issues later?

You won't notice any difference if you remove the covers off the cats, or the ones against the floor.

Don't worry about it.

I have had a couple break away on one edge so that they are hanging down.
My thoughts are that they are there for a reason, so I have used a big diameter worm drive clip round the cat and shield to hold it in in place, and they are still in situ several years later. Needs to be just tight enough to hold it in place, and to stop it rattling.

So you don't start forest fires in the summer.

Or set fire to your car if you park it on dry grass after a run.  ;)

Personally I am not into dogging, so I won't be parking in remote areas with long grass.....
