That's the same problem as invading many of the middle eastern 'countries' that were created 200 years ago by drawing lines across tribal areas. Religious differences exacerbate the resulting mess.


Add the arrogance that our power requires us to force political dogma(which is of no practical difference to religious cults) on people to whom it has no relevance, and trouble is guaranteed.

Leave them to it, just fortify or own island. Give them time to kill each other and catch up with the ‘modern’ world, we have enough pain and suffering here let’s have a go sorting our own mess out for a change, There’s been millions wasted there, it could have done a lot of good here. A lot of our troops have died there too which is of course the worse thing, and now it looks as if it was for no gain for Afghanistan or the Uk.
