None of the indigenous people are prepared to fight they are all running away, I noticed all the people hanging on that military plane were men, why are they not with their wives kids and parents they are predominantly young men of fighting age getting the hell out of Dodge. That could be due to them knowing the Taliban are taking men and boys out of their homes and accusing them of working for the police, or the other “enemy” organisations, and shooting them.

The women are in a terrible situation, but they are not in fear of their lives as the males are.

It does have to be said though that is the difference with our British population on this island and those who can ‘easily’ run to adjacent lands.  As with any threat to this island most of us would be prepared to fight to the death to keep our freedoms, which was the case in WW2.  But those of Afghanistan must be so disillusioned and lacking all hope that they just want to escape rather than face an ugly, dirty guy, with a dishevelled beard and a very big gun!  Poor sods !!

Unless you consider having zero life* better than death 

* the constant threat of rape, physical and psychological abuse and effectively becoming disposable property. Basically losing everything that western women take for granted.

Yes, and no more school, no more western style clothes, and they must remain subservient to men.
But the men have far more to fear in terms of dying at the hands of the Taliban, with even boys involved.  Just like the Nazi SS squads did.

The women’s lives will certainly be no picnic, which is disgusting, but they will in the main survive from instant death.  Before men on here start on about the Taliban cruelty to women, just think about the women of this country who risk constant sexual harassment, physical violence, rape and, all too often, death at the hands of a man

Yep, and it has been going on since man started to walk the earth. One day all of us will learn that a peaceful life is what we all want, but that is probably hundreds of years away. The grave yards of the World will continue to be filled at a rapid rate
