I try to avoid "impulse buys" from special offers unless I actually wanted an item anyway    and I try to shop local

Well one of my daughters and I have had a result today;  Found and purchased an XBox Series X from a national retailer after tracking movements of the XBox ,and Playstation 5, stock online with various retailers and advisory services for hours / days.

Severe national and international  shortage of these, making them almost as rare as hens teeth,  but today the X Box was added to the PS5 I hunted down two weeks ago

Two grandchildren are going to be very pleased at Christmas!

I give her the card a week early, Dave. That gives her the chance to use the tenner to buy me socks. So....for Christmas, I buy myself some socks.

I made it big to highlight the chimney needs pointing ,the car port needs a new roof ,fencing work etc etc
