I got fed up with seeing all sorts of numbers. "With" or "Of" Covid etc.
I looked at TOTAL registered deaths regardless of cause 2011 to 2021, and took into account estimated population increase. Just England and Wales, sourced from ONS

To cut a long story short, (I can't be arsed to upload a screen of the spreadsheet)

% of population that die each year was around .86% from 2011 to 2019
% of population that died in 2020 was 1.02% (no numbers yet for December 2021)
In actual numbers, 9 year average 2011 to 2019 was 515,168
2020 was 607,019

So, not near the 150K claimed by the doom mongers, but still quite a few. And, deaths will have increased due to lack of treatment by NHS to some extent.

.....and maybe we should also take into account the reduction in "travelling" accidents due to many not going into offices and stuck at home during the real lock down 1.

PS just lifted this from an official Government Report for 2020:
"Headline figures
an estimated 1,460 reported road deaths in 2020 which includes a total of 4 months of national lockdown (April to June and November)
an estimated 23,529 killed or seriously injured (KSI) casualties in 2020, a decrease of 22% compared to the same period in 2019
115,584 casualties of all severities in 2020, down by 25% from 2019
the reduction in road traffic followed a similar trend in the same period and decreased by 21%
pedal cyclist casualty rates per billion vehicle miles saw the greatest percentage decrease (34%) compared to all other road user types"

Well yes. But once one starts over analysing it all get very convoluted

I just wanted to boil it all down to overall death impact.

TBH, it's all still peanuts compared with some other past global pandemics.

This strain is 3 times less likely to put you in ICU.  Trouble is, the figures were running at over 3 times the previous peak infection rates.

The infection rate figures are now meaningless, as the messaging has gone out by Buffoon Boris that its all done and dusted, so nobody is testing.

On 20th Jan (latest data) 1,370,093 tests were recorded in the UK, so I don't know how you can claim that?   

Of which, only 429K were PCR, plus about 3K LFT's done in a lab. The remaining 937K tests were self administered LFT at home/school/work.

I have very little faith in self administered tests.

Yes TB, I have watched tonight a PBS America a 2021 report on Germany, the Neo-Nazis and the Far Right and what is going on in that country could make you feel at home!

Members of the armed forces, police, police staff, and general Neo Nazis have formed into groups to eradicate immigrants and anyone who is not of pure white origins, with murders of Jews already happening.  Not only that but they are all preparing for “The Day” when German politics become unstable and they rise up to take political and actual control with Jews and all immigrants “removed” then disposed of! Already thousands of rounds of munitions and associated weapons have been stolen from the police and army stores, but the authorities seem to be out of touch with the seriousness of this right wing threat. Insider influence at the top levels? Very possibly.
