The Rwandans were just as keen on the idea as Bozzle.

Probably more due to the hundreds of millions of UK taxpayers £££££ they plan to trouser, rather than any altruistic desire to help poor vulnerable refugees.  :)

Sounds like the passenger load factors on HMG's new Boscombe Down (Ryanair would call it "Stonehenge East" or "Sailsbury North") to Kigali route may be lower than they expected/hoped. I wonder if I/you could get a cheap flight to help them fill the seats.

He'll be OK once he's got the ferry to Calais and bought a small boat to come back. Then the Rwanda flight will be free, as long as those pesky human-rights activist lawyers keep quiet.

This idea was probably never going to fly(excuse the pun) :-X

It seems the British judicial system said 'all system go' fasten your safety  belts, but some 'European bod' decided otherwise. ::)

What happens next? 8)

Surprising how many think that the ECHR is part of the EU. :)

The answer is simple. Every time a dinghy lands on the south coast, the RAF drop a few bombs on Paris. That would concentrate a few minds.  :)

Apparently, there wasn't even a proper hearing in the courthouse, but it was an 'after hours' judge in Brussels made the decision.

Makes you wonder whether he/she had all the facts at hand and even though the ECHR isn't part of the EU, you can bet your bottom Euro that they are all European federalist fanatics still pissed about Brexit and happy to give the Brits a kicking!  ::)

The ECHR was formed after WW2 for good reasons and with good intentions. It has now become something else and from a UK point of view, at least, has outlived its usefulness.
We should leave its jurisdiction asap imo.
