This idea was probably never going to fly(excuse the pun)

It seems the British judicial system said 'all system go' fasten your safety  belts, but some 'European bod' decided otherwise.

Apparently, there wasn't even a proper hearing in the courthouse, but it was an 'after hours' judge in Brussels made the decision.

Makes you wonder whether he/she had all the facts at hand and even though the ECHR isn't part of the EU, you can bet your bottom Euro that they are all European federalist fanatics still pissed about Brexit and happy to give the Brits a kicking!

The ECHR was formed after WW2 for good reasons and with good intentions. It has now become something else and from a UK point of view, at least, has outlived its usefulness.
We should leave its jurisdiction asap imo.
