I'm off to bed at around nine, got to get up at five to get the vegans to Birmingham airport for eight. I might not get to sleep, with fireworks and the like, but it's got to be better than New Year's Eve telly.

Im up at 0615  for work, but am going to stay up until midnight. Then the fireworks will keep me awake for another hour unless I get out of bed and have an episode with the neighbours. Getting too old for it tbh.

I’m undecided on whether it was a really bad year or not. My Dad died in February and a couple of months later I very nearly joined him through my own illness, so that should make it a very bad year for me. But, after three solid months in hospital, two heart operations, four blood transfusions and antibiotics piped straight in to a tube in my neck, I’m still alive.
So, does that make it a shite year for nearly croaking it, or a good year because they saved me.    I’m frightened to decide just in case 2023 is worse.
