Does all of this mean that my AA handbook won't work any more  . . .
Both our cars always have a proper, paper road atlas ;D

One for DTM methinks.

Later x351's came with either an 8" Touch Pro or a 10" Touch Pro.  Probably bad/confusing labelling on JLR's part, calling both variants Touch Pro.  Anyway, Carplay/Auto was released for the 8" one (via SDD firmware updates presumably, as that unit doesn't have OTA?), but then made unavailable.  I think it was update H251?

Is that correct?

And I'm guessing zero plans to fit Carplay/Auto to the paltry specced InControl in her batmobile.  No matter how many times I ask ;D

There was a Touch Pro for about half a model year with the 8 inch screen (it can be changed.......to the larger one), the screen was then made larger but it is the same infotainment system (Bosch hardware). It does have OTA (all Touch systems do) but needs to be ideally 19A or higher (18B is potenentially also capable)

The major issue was the fact that the car at that stage did not have a Carplay compliant chip (Again, can be changed) but, this can be changed with CCF tweaks.

As for the Touch system (Harman), no chance of Carplay on that unit as it does not have the memory or processing capability.

As for the Touch system (Harman)
That's what Mrs TB has?

Mine has InControl Touch Plus, formerly called HDD gen2.1
Then there is InControl Touch
And InControl Touch Pro

Not sure its great marketing, but then I'm just the stoopid kid from the local comp...

Whats wrong with just having a wireless in the car ?   :-\ Volume, tone and four preset buttons is plenty good enough.  :D

Mind you, be lost without non wireless tunes.  I need my angry tunes for when I'm running late, and my calming tunes for when I remember the £550 I spent on rear tyres last month.
