Managed to find somewhere that actually had petrol.

I believe £1.53 a litre is quite possibly the most I have ever paid :o

To be fair to the garage, they were limiting everyone to £44... So I left with more fuel than someone buying diesel... Every cloud ::)
But the person buying diesel will still get further than you. £44 of diesel will get me over 300 miles, and mine is not the most economical.
£44 will get me well over 250 miles.  Is the Astra a bit of a dog?  I know small underpowered autos arent the most economical, but surprised the asjtray is that poor on mpg...

If you need the fuel, you have to queue. End of.

If you are one of those (apparently majority) who shove £10/£20 a week in, you still need to fill every week.  If you are, like me, one of those who runs it bone dry, then shoves in the maximum that Pay at Pump allows, normally £99, then you still need to fill up once it approaches bone dry again.

So the numpties are the brainless idiots who listen to Jeremy Whine/BBC News/Ch4 News or who have an asrebook account.  Not the poor bastards who need fuel, and are currently having to queue for hours to get a fanny full of the stuff.

But, remember, its what we wanted and voted for.

Which is why I filled took the opportunity to get some.

You don't what to be that person running out on the way to hospital or an interview because you chose not to buy fuel when you had the opportunity.

I know it will have settled down by the end of the week, but I also know that I have 4 commutes and some errands to run, so rather than chance it, I chose to queue. I would have brimmed it if I could have, probably another ten litres or so... 88litre tank on the Barge, usually sees me 430-450 miles.

I wouldn't, however normally pay 153 a litre, but if the only garage with petrol on my commute happens to be the most expensive one in West Sussex, then so be it.

It’s got nothing to do with voting choices... At least I didn't see Media Doom Mongers on the ballot.

When people realise that it might start to affect all their online shopping, will they react by panic buying on Egay/Amazoom or Faceachebook market place?

Probably. But that's because people are retarded nothing else.  ;)

Very rarely let our two get near the quarter level , filled them both about 10 days ago so around 700 miles left before anywhere near empty, ten or twenty pounds worth wouldn't get either vehicle very far.

Blatted it up the M40 in the rain.  Need to check tread on the rears, as it was a bit loose at the back.

In my mind, I checked it last week, and they were 4mm....     ....but last week might have actually been 3 weeks ago before I took it to the Lakes.

Its an age thing ;D

I was in my garage, due to needing to check the tread depth on the BBP, and also to reset the service indicator.

I got as far as booting the PC, but was overcome with CBA rain stopped play.
