Unfortunately we still have one of the largest tax burdens in the world. Belo Horizonte is fine, except for the chaotic traffic, which makes me dream of moving to a much smaller city. As for Cruzeiro we are in Serie B, with little chance of returning to Serie A in the year of its centenary (2021). The biggest culprits for the demotion of the club, the former president and his corrupt directors, after a complex investigation, were recently denounced by the Public Ministry for a series of crimes, such as money laundering and conspiracy. Now, we have to endure the mockery of the city's rival fans: Atletico and America.

Finally got round to looking at the rust in the Omega spare wheel well.

As usual, a small patch of rust rapidly turns into a sizeable hole which will need a metal patch welding in. >:(

MOT passes on the other Omega and the Astra  :)

Astra got a single advisory for a tyre near the limit on the inside edge (reckon it was on the front before we owned the car)

I can't afford a straight fail... Lots of advisories would be fine, a fail less so... Front strut lower ball joint would effectively mean a new Airmatic strut, for example...

Getting it pre tested gives me three weeks to resolve any issues one way or tother ;)

Yes, understand your logic. My car logic works like this

IF daily car is broken THEN project car will also be broken (Usual timescale - within 24 hours) AND parts will be obscure AND/OR expensive  ;D

you can treat the good lady wife to a new tyre for the Astra for Christmas too  :)
that saves getting her a present she doesn't want  :P

Well, it needs a track rod end...

So will be getting both followed, hopefully, by a clean sheet once that turns up.

The hardest part is getting the parts in and tested before something else wears out or falls off :D

XP by xh535, on Flickr

I did try to ignore them but OCD got the better of me - 2 hours with various cloths and metal polishes to remove baked on dirt/tar/soot. The middle pic is after left, before right BTW.

Autosol to start, Brasso to finish. I think it's actually driving better since I did this

Must remember that car parts are not allowed in the house... ::)
