Is the Omega master twin outlet or four,it its two then each outlet pumps to 2 wheels so I doubt master is at fault

It's a tandem cylinder so only 2 separate circuits. I can't remember if it has 2 or 4 outlets, but in the latter case each pair is fed from a single cylinder so most unlikely it's the master cylinder in my view.

My money is on the modulator :y

Unfortunately Stemo that won't get it through an MoT. :P Master cylinder[on mine]has two pipes from it to the abs unit with the abs itself a 4 channel version. If it is the abs unit at fault are they generally reliable enough to look for a second hand one?

Second hand is the only way to go really, new will be costly even if still available

Best start checking out availability/pricing of one of those then in case it turns out to be that.

New brake pins in the Civic... Hopefully woth a good dose of grease will stop them sticking. The old ones looked like they'd been under the North Sea for the last 20 years...

Ordered a new coil for the Barge... Started to develop a nasty cylinder 4 misfire at WOT, plugs are a nice, soot free shade of tan, so it is otherwise healthy.

Tried and failed to change the steering idler on the Omega. Never had a problem breaking the taper before, but couldnt do it today.
Got all hot bothered, and sweaty, so put it back together.
The one on there isnt bad. Just fancied having the new one fitted to cross it off the to do list.
Will have another go when the Im in the mood.  ::)

I really need to investigate why the plastic French contraption wont start when its hot. Its a pita.  ::)
Its also starting to sound like a skeleton abusing itself in a biscuit tin, to borrow a phrase from Kevin Wood.  :D :D

Is there any way of telling if the abs unit is fubar or whether it's just full of trapped air? Abs light on dash lights up when ignition turned on and goes out shortly after-like the rest of the lights do.Got to try reverse bleeding it yet.

Checked the earth straps and they seem ok. Having a car that refuses to start when hot is more than a little inconvenient. Really need to get to the bottom of it, but not too many ideas how to.  :-\
